This movie was great! It's treated as a serious thing. Story: Adventurer/surgeon/rock musician Buckaroo Banzai and his band of men, the Hong Kong Cavaliers, take on evil alien invaders from the 8th dimension. "Preaches a strong message, as yet another environmentally conscious production following on from where the likes of The Lorax and Wall-E left off. And has a stage hand shooting a steady mist of fake tears onto his cheeks — but he fills the part and offers a nice foil to Max, the robot/alien/spaceship voiced by Paul Reubens, who gets the lion's share of wisecracks and quotables. The movie reminded me of Escape to Witch Mountain and Return to Witch Mountain, with a dash of E. T thrown into the plot. Some are movies I didn't quite like enough to actually "like", and some I haven't seen recently enough to judge them accurately. They want answers, but they are not about to put the kid in harm's way or experiment on him. Some movies like Flight of the Navigator: Explorers (1985), E. T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982), Mac and Me (1988), Zathura: A Space Adventure (2005), Back to the Future (1985).
