My solution was to remove the slide stop on my duty pistol so it would never happen at an inopportune moment. But red dots on handguns are the future, and nowhere will you see a pistol/red dot package for this price. It's an easy gun to take down and clean though. This messes up the final trigger-pull "feel, " which makes such pistols difficult for me to shoot. Now the slide is stuck and won't go all the way forward again, though it can go back far enough to engage the slide hold lever. SCCY does not sell optics separately. Slide stuck on reassembly. The gun tended to shoot a little bit high with these bullet weights. Speaking of ammo, the SCCY CPX-2 is rated for +P ammo, but only for limited use. There is no possible victory in defense.
