Like Augustine, she has been able to piece together how God has worked in her life to bring her where she is. I recommend this book for all Christians. What I saw, and by now was reinforcing in the minds of other young women as part of the Planned Parenthood organization, was that I was in a condition of pregnancy, not that I was now the mother of a child already dependent upon my own body for sustenance. This book is not very well written, the author's attempts to be seen as sympathetic make her appear weak and easily manipulated and there's plenty of misleading language and embellishment. Yet when she made the transition to become pro-life, no mention of her concern for women's health ever becomes apparent again! She rather showed us all that when one is treated humanly, even if on the wrong side of the fence, one can understand the error in which they live. This book was a waste of my time and money. I was a staunch supporter of "women's rights to choose" and would argue with my pro-life friends about how they were wrong and how, if abortion was not legal, women and children would either be dying from backalley procedures or children would be growing up in abusive homes.
