The climax was great. Bradley Cooper ventures out of his comfort zone and actually has to act instead of coasting by on his looks and The main reason to watch Silver Linings Playbook is for the performances, particularly the two leads who have terrific chemistry. The way she portrays Tiffany, with her mental illness, severe mood swings, borderline depression and interesting personality is absolutely fantastic. Where this movie excels is in the characters interactions with each other. I don't generally like romantic comedies because I find they're normally lazy and recycle the same plot, but Silver Linings Playbook was an intelligent and original movie with a good balance of light and dark, humor and drama, and love and pain, with some other elements like sports and dance thrown in for good measure. Style: sexy, romantic, sexual, emotional, funny... I actually regretted choosing to see it at first.. Tom Cruise and Renée Zellweger are cast perfectly as the couple who finally figure it out by the end of the movie.
